Earth Day: No Peace = No Planet

Earth Day is near and dear to my heart. The logo shown below, which is an official NASA image in the public domain, has been placed on a dark blue background, now known as the Earth Day Flag. I will fly it proudly on this blog. It reminds me of a certain blue marble in the shape and color of our world created even before the onset of Earth Day.

 has become a symbol of peace in my life and many others. Here's the story.
Remember to honor our world by keeping her free from the ravages of war, the atrocities of nuclear weapons and the destruction that comes when her people do not cover her with peace.
Bless the Earth and all its inhabitants today.

Blog Action Day 2012: The Power Of We

 The theme of this year's Blog Action Day is the Power Of We! Bloggers everywhere are sharing their thoughts and individual passions about the things that inspire and motivate them. As peace bloggers, we know the power of words to change, to inspire, and to collectively create a voice on a global scale. We are constantly evolving and growing as a world community and as a body of bloggers with one purpose.  Since 2006 we have been blogging "Dona Nobis Pacem" - Grant Us Peace - loud and strong in the BlogBlast4Peace (Blog4Peace) movement, which now hosts thousands of voices for peace from half the world's countries, and a gallery of peace art work linked to thousands of blog posts and online activity. This is our #powerofwe....as we join others around the world who are also taking part in today's online activities. 

What is your passion and platform? Did you write about it today? Do you believe you made a difference? Does your own blogging and writing make a difference to you? Because if there's one thing I've learned in the peace globe movement - it is that words are powerful.
